Meet at Steve and Joyce’s house 16464 Spring Valley Rd., Dade City 33523 at 0900 AM and plan on heading out about 0930 AM. We will be touring the back roads of the Richloam Wildlife Management Area. The roads are dirt and wide, but are graded and well maintained. We won’t be in a hurry, so we should not stir up a lot of dust. The roads are named, but not marked, so we can stay together and not the usual distancing we normally try to maintain. We will be stopping at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (Florida Bass Conservation Center). We will have roughly a 30-minute presentation of what they do and see the hatchery itself. We will then head to the Richloam General Store, which has been around since the 1920’s. They have Fresh Ice Cream and other goodies to help spoil our lunch. We will then head to Beef O’Brady’s at 31120 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34602. They are just east of I75 on Cortez Blvd (SR50). The total tour will be roughly 62 miles.
Note: This will be the last tour for the winter season. We will try to have tours over the summer and should be the third Saturday of the month, weather permitting.
